WebNov 16, 2024 · Overview. Tagetes minuta (mint marigold) is an erect, woody annual herb, usually 0.5–2 m tall with strongly odorous foliage. It is a native of South American grasslands and mountain regions, where the local people use it as a flavouring herb and for mosquito control; it is also used as a vegetable. Webmaterial of Tagetes plants were washed with tap water followed by distilled water. The samples were disinfected by using sodium hypochlorite (5%). The samples were then dried in an oven at 70 ºC for 2 days. After drying samples were ground to make powder and 10g of powder was dissolved in 100 ml of methanol.
